You can register for an account on the emc website by clicking the "Sign Up" button in the top-right of the emc home page:



By signing up for an account you can
  • "favourite" medicines you wish to find easily in the future
  • save your search criteria
  • view changes to medicines information.

 


Create your emc account







Start my inputting your email address.


This will send a six-digit verification code to that email address.


If you already have an account registered to your email address, the system will offer to send you a password reminder










Once you receive the code, input it into the "Verification Code" box on the registration page.


Click Confirm.



If you do not receive a code after 10 minutes, please click "Send another code" and be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder.

 

 









Fill in the rest of the required information.


Tick the box to confirm that you have read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.


Click Create



 

 

 














Once you have created your account and signed in, you will be able to use the extended features


These are located in the drop-down menu under your name, located at the top right of the emc home page


It is here that you can access your Favourites and Saved Searches as well as edit your account details and change your screen view to Dark Mode

 

 




Advanced Search


You can look for medicines using more specific search criteria in the "Advanced Search" section on the home page


Options for search criteria include looking for specific words or phrases, legal categories, and whether a medicine is discontinued or not

 



 

 





"Favourite" Medicines and Save Searches


 

 

In the left-hand menu of each medicine page you will have the option to "Add to Favourites"

 

 

 

 

 
 






 

Search results pages have an option at the top to "Save this search"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



You can title each saved search and give it a description

 

 

 










 

 

You can manage and edit your favourites and saved searches in their respective tabs. These can be found in the top right, under your name


 


Latest Updates/Medicine History

 


You can view the latest and historical changes to medicines via the "Latest updates" tab

 

 

 

 

The results are listed in date order starting from the most recent update/change.


There is a filter on the left so that you can further narrow down your results if needed
